I have been antsy to actually start painting over at my parents house ( brick two). TODAY was the day it started. BUT not the fun "ohhhhhh, it looks so good" painting. We had to start with primer, to get all the yucky that might seep through the paint, stuck to something. You know the pain in the neck painting because you have to look up the whole time!
Neil helped me prime the ceilings in the bedrooms and I primed the hallway myself. While waiting for the primer to dry I started cutting in the paint around the ceiling and wood work around the room in the bedroom. Before I left I was able to put on one coat of white on the ceiling! YAY, for fresh paint! The ceiling was the same color on the wall only with all the tobacco stains still on it!

Its always fun to see the before pictures but its also always great to see the hidden colors the rooms actually were at one time.
I had to stop cutting in because I realized how stupid it would be to paint the ceiling and the wall and do nothing to the little piece of trim in between the two.
This is where I stopped. The ceiling with one coat of paint and needing to start the little strip near it.
If you look out the window you can see how close the houses are, that's my car in my driveway. She is a good photo bomber, that car.
